Overview: Under the direction of the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee, CPW/172 Optics and Photonics has the responsibility to prepare and revise British Standards, to be responsible for the United Kingdom input to ISO/TC172 and its sub-committees ISO/TC172/SC1, SC3, SC4, SC5, SC6 and SC9 and to maintain liaison with other appropriate bodies.
