Scope

This document specifies a method for the determination of the titratable acidity of raw cow milk, raw sheep milk, raw goat milk, raw buffalo milk and all types of reconstituted milk.

Purpose

To propose to revise the existing document as a technical specification given there is only single laboratory validation data. We will explore the extension of the scope to milk with end point determination, this has already been shown to be feasible. We will also review with regards to the inclusion of ISO 6092:2010/IDF 81:1981 Dried milk – determination of titratable acidity (routine method)

The standard is referenced in Codex and thus is important it is retained.
