Overview: Under the direction of WEE/46, is responsible for general standards for the application of non-destructive testing to mechanial engineering materials and components including the non-destructive testing of metallic welds. It provides the detailed technical input to standards for general magnetic particle and penetrant testing of welds. It provides the UK input into standards being developed within CEN/TC 138/WG 4, CEN/TC 138/WG 5 and ISO/TC 135/SC 2.
