Overview: Under the direction of ISE/101, is responsible for the UK input to ECISS/TC 1, ECISS/TC 101, ECISS/TC 29/SC 9, ISO/TC 164/SC 1, ISO/TC 164/SC 2, ISO/TC 164/ SC 4. The responsibility includes the preparation, revision and amendment of British Standards for mechanical testing of metallic materials excluding toughness, hardness and fatigue testing which are covered by 101/4, 101/5 and 101/6. This also includes the calibration, verification and classification of associated equipment.
