Overview: Under the direction of the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee, IST/31 is responsible for developing standards for immersive technologies (AR/MR/VR and XR), and for contributing to the work of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 24 developers of such standards as: Augmented reality continuum presentation and interchange, Augmented reality continuum concepts and reference model and lastly, all matters of health, safety, security and usability of these technologies.
