This document defines the design, safety and operation characteristics of cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) land vehicle refuelling connectors.
CcH2 land vehicle refuelling connectors consist of the following components, as applicable: receptacle and protective cap (mounted on vehicle); nozzle.
This document is applicable to refuelling connectors which have nominal working pressures or hydrogen service levels up to 35 MPa.
This proposal aims to continue the work already underway on the development of the ISO 17268-3 standard—currently at the CD stage (stage 30)—as part of a new project. This will close the gap that still exists in the standardization of an interface for refuelling with cryo compressed hydrogen in the mobility sector.
