Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the content of material volatile at 105 °C in polyethylene (PE) piping materials. This method is applicable to moulding and extrusion materials. It also can be applicable to components in PE piping systems.

Purpose

This test method is of global relevance. The method existing in EN 12099, after consultation of ISO/TC 138/SC 5 will be taken over as EN ISO test method after screening/update.
