This part should be used in conjunction with ISO/NP 26930-1, which includes general requirements and explanations of procedures.
At present, there is only a European series of standards that defines acceptance inspections for equipment and components used in thermal spraying. The aim of this project is to elevate these acceptance procedures, which have been well established in Europe for many years, to an international level and to formalize them in a future series of seven international standards. Currently, there are no comparable frameworks in the field of international standardization. Harmonized requirements will establish a consistent standard for acceptance inspections of thermal spraying facilities while simultaneously improving the comparability of equipment and systems available on the market.
