This British standard will provide requirements and guidance for implementing a Healthy Working Lifecycle, as outlined in the Keep Britain Working report, jointly commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). It is applicable to organizations all types and sizes of organisations, including both the public and private sectors.
The standard will provide organisations with a framework to implement a Healthy Working Lifecycle by addressing:
- disability inclusion
- managing sickness absence - recruitment and onboarding - prevention and health promotion
- stay in work
- return to work
- redeployment and exit
For organizations, this framework is aimed to improve performance and profitability, reducing costs associated with turnover, sickness absence, etc.
This is an early deliverable for the Keep Britain Working report, jointly commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). This standard will provide a framework for organisations to implement the “Healthy Working Lifecycle”, as proposed in the report. It will map directly to the policy and framework.
