This document gives guidance on how to create durability indexes. It aims to complement EN 45552 which addresses durability assessment. This document is aimed at stakeholders who wish to develop a durability index for a specific product group, including technical committees, policymakers and researchers. The durability index approach described in this document provides a methodology on how to aggregate different elements of durability, such as reliability.
