Overview: Under the direction of CED/1 this committee is responsible for standardisation on material efficiency aspects for products in scope of Eco-design legislation. Producing non-sector specific and horizontal standards covering aspects such as assessment methods, design rules, dematerialization, digitalization and transfer of information on a variety of material efficiency topics, in particular (but no limited to): Extending product lifetime, Ability to reuse components or recycle materials from products at End-of Life, use of reused components and/or recylced materials* in prodcuts. *Includes coverage of the European Commission defined list of Critical Raw Materials (CRM). It provides the UK input into the joint CEN, Cenelec committee CEN/CLC JTC 10.
