Scope

This document provides a series of definitions for the authenticity of media. The definitions related to the authenticity of media assets include general terms, terms related to media forgery, and terms related to media anti-counterfeiting methods.

Purpose

The objectives of this work are as follows.

- Enable Media Authenticity practitioners around the world to reach an agreement on terminology and avoid problems such as poor information transmission or misunderstanding caused by terminology differences.

- Promote exchanges and cooperation between different countries, help to integrate research results from different countries, and jointly promote the development of Computer Vision technology.

- Make Media Authenticity research more accurate and standardized, reduce misunderstandings and errors caused by irregular terminology use, and improve research quality and effectiveness.

- Promote the popularization and application of Media Authenticity technology, make the communication between various application scenarios smoother, and promote the application and development of Media Authenticity technology.
