PNW 47F-512 ED1: Micro-electromechanical systems-Part 57: RF MEMS Directional Coupler

Scope

This part of IEC 62047 specifies the terminology, essential ratings and characteristics, and measuring methods of RF (Radio Frequency) MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) Directional Couplers devices.

Purpose

RF MEMS Directional Couplers are the advanced component for modern wireless communications and microwave systems, which is a more efficient and cost-effective solution to the problem of power detection, synthesizing antenna pattern, standing-wave ratio, etc. Compared with traditional Circulators / Isolators, They has much smaller profile but keep excellent RF characteristic, and They also more suitable for batch manufacturing
