Scope

Performance and test requirements of hose assemblies using rubber hoses for equipment for gas welding and cutting. Not applicable to hose assemblies upstream of the regulators.

Purpose

ISO/TC 44/SC 8 noted the progress on drafting of ISO 8207, “Gas welding equipment — Specification for hose assemblies for equipment for welding, cutting and allied processes”, within Working Group 9, “Hoses, hose assemblies and assembled hoses”, and will ask CEN/TC 121, “Welding and allied processes”, for a work item in CEN (Vienna Agreement with ISO lead) to replace EN 1256, “Gas welding equipment — Specification for hose assemblies for equipment for welding, cutting and allied processes”. The revised ISO 8207 should be adopted as EN ISO under Vienna Agreement with ISO lead and allocated to CEN/TC 121 (/WG 19).
