This document defines the common terms and definitions used in the field of computer vision. This document is applicable to the understanding and exchange of computer vision concepts and information.
The objectives of this document are as follows:
Enable Computer Vision practitioners around the world to reach an agreement on terminology and avoid problems such as poor information transmission or misunderstanding caused by terminology differences.
Promote exchanges and cooperation between different countries, help to integrate research results from different countries, and jointly promote the development of Computer Vision technology.
Make Computer Vision research more accurate and standardized, reduce misunderstandings and errors caused by irregular terminology use, and improve research quality and effectiveness.
Promote the popularization and application of Computer Vision technology, make the communication between various application scenarios smoother, and promote the application and development of Computer Vision technology
