The concentration of plutonium in the solution should be less than 1.5 g/l to ensure the absence of significant interferences.
In the process of uranium mining, milling, purification and convertion, qualified uranium products are usually obtained by extraction method. The PUREX process of spent fuel reprocessing is also achieved by TBP extraction method for the separation of uranium and plutonium and purification of uranium products. Therefore, the rapid and accurate analysis of the concentration of uranium(VI) in the organic phase is of great significance for ensuring the normal operation of the extraction process, improving the process and evaluating the operation effect.
