Scope

The guidance document provides the test methods and use of density hydrometers for general purposes. This includes ApparatusPreliminariesReading the hydrometerReading of temperature Application of the corrections Meniscus corrections and Density of air-free distilled water

Purpose

Hydrometers is the main instrument used for density measurement. Revision of ISO 649-2 is necessary. The main content of the revision is to add content about new test method and water density Table to ISO 649-2.
