Scope

This document specifies the relevant parameters for the assessment of the energy performance of lighting in non-residential buildings and for the energy demand calculation.

This document is applicable where the criteria for indoor environment are set by human occupancy and where the production or process does not have a major impact on indoor environment.

This document does not specify design methods but gives input parameters for the assessment of the lighting systems including its control. The definition of the lighting design criteria and their classes are not part of this document.

Table 1 shows the relative position of this standard within the set of EPB standards in the context of the modular structure as set out in EN ISO 52000-1.
