Overview: Under the direction of SPSC, is responsible for the UK input to CEN/TC 169 for standards relating to terms and criteria, lighting in the workplace, sports lighting, photometry, photobiology, energy performance of buildings, performance of optical materials for luminaries, daylight and non-visual effects of light on human beings. It is also responsible for the national standards in this area.
