Scope

This standard specifies maintenance requirements and guide to design and assessment of remote maintenance system for divertor components in Magnetic confinement fusion reactor. This standard is applicable to the design and assessment of remote maintenance system for divertor in Magnetic confinement fusion reactor.

Purpose

Remote handling technology of Magnetic confinement fusion reactors is recognized as one of the key technologies to be solved on the road to commercial fusion reactors. The design and assessment for divertor components of Magnetic confinement fusion reactor is very important to improve the reliability of fusion reactors and the implemention of divertor remote handling systems.

At present, there is no relevant standard to guide the design and assessment for divertor of Magnetic confinement fusion reactor and its remote handling system. This standard is developed based on the summarization of the experience of divertor components and its remote handling system design under the nuclear fusion environment.

The establishment of this standard not only provides technical guidance for the implementation of divertor remote handling system of fusion reactors, but also accumulates technical experience for promoting the application and industrialization of fusion technology in the future.
