Scope

This document contains the initial, start-of-life dimensional, optical, mechanical and environmental performance requirements which a terminated and assembled singlemode two fibre rows, 16 fibres wide MPO connector set (plug, adapter, plug) need to meet in order for it to be categorised as an International Standard product.

Purpose

This type of connector is strongly required by the m arket related to optical fiber connection for data centre applications, transceivers and also high density patch panels.
