Scope

This document specifies the system structure, evaluation indicators for IoT systems.

This document is applicable to the compilation of the evaluation indicator for IoT systems in specific industries.

Purpose

Internet of things ( IoT ) system is a complex large-scale system across technologies, industries and departments. With the development of IoT, more and more IoT systems are applied in traditional industries, such as power, agriculture, manufacturing, finance, environmental protection. In terms of standards, an increasing number of industries begin to pay attention to and participate in the IoT application standards. For example, ISO / IEC JTC1 / SC41 is developing international standards for IoT applications, such as ISO / IEC 30144 "Internet of Things (IoT) – Wireless sensor network system supporting electrical power substation", ISO / IEC 30163 "Internet of Things (IoT) - System requirements of IoT/SN technology-based integrated platform for chattel asset monitoring", and ISO / IEC 30169 "Internet of things (IoT) - IoT applications for electronic label system (ELS)"

How to ensure the effective promotion of IoT application and develop IoT industry healthily needs an evaluation indicator system of IoT system. The evaluation indicator system of the IoT system is an important part of the development of the IoT industry. There are a lot of system characteristics in the IoT system, and the different characteristics indicate the different capabilities of the IoT system. In order to evaluate the IoT system and determine the optimal or suboptimal system, it is necessary to formulate the relevant standards of system evaluation indicator, so as to help the users from industries to select appropriate indicators when evaluating the IoT system.
