It will also cross reference metrics according to activity (input, process, output and outcome). The technical specification will define the most commonly used metrics by category, discuss their purpose, and provide examples of their use. Reference to other resources will be provided for in-depth exploration of the more advanced metrics.
The market for this technical specification will be driven by the application and use of existing ISO documents, ISO 30414:2018 Human Resources Management - Guidelines for internal and external human capital reporting, and ISO 23326:2022 Human resource management — Employee engagement — Guidelines and forms part of the TC 260 workplan
This proposed technical specification (TS) will provide the reader with the framework, concepts, metrics, and guidance and solutions necessary to create a measurement approach to support the organization’s employee engagement activities. The benefit to end users, will be that this TS meets an important and growing industry need since many organizations struggle with the measurement of employee engagement.
The ISO standard, “ISO 23326:2022 Human resource management — Employee engagement — Guidelines”, provides organizations with information that supports the continued professionalization of people management by linking process and practices to an outcome of increased employee engagement correlated with sustainable organizational performance. This standard aims to help facilitate a common understanding of and maintain consistency in policies, processes and practices related to employee engagement. The proposed technical specification will provide support in developing metrics to assess the effectiveness of these efforts.
