This document applies to outer wall elements with solid walls or walls with vertical perforations (see Figure 1) which have square, rectangular or circular cross-sections. This document also applies to outer wall elements with factory made surface treatment (e.g. slurry and filler).
This document also applies to factory jointed outer wall elements made of L- or U-shaped components.
This document specifies procedures for the testing, marking and assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of characteristics of the outer wall elements and their fittings.
This document applies to outer wall elements having one or more shafts designated to accommodate a combination of flue liners and/or ventilation passages.
This document does not apply to storey-height or reinforced outer wall elements.
This project aims at:
- The creation of this new project is to merge the EN 12446:2011 and EN 13069:2005 in compliance with the CPR,
- bringing more consistency and compacity by addressing both clay and concrete outer walls in the same standard,
- having the scope containing the issues of both standards mentioned above and the corresponding extension to answer the need covering other materials as well.
The current WI 00166117 - prEN 13069 rev "Chimneys - Clay/ceramic outer walls for system chimneys - Requirements and test methods" stage 00.60 2018-05-06 will be cancelled and deleted.
It is intending to withdraw the standards EN 12446:2011 and EN 13069:2005 once the new project is published.
