Scope
This document provides Diversity and Inclusion metrics, which include comparable measures for organizations to assess their approach to D&I in terms of organizational culture, stages of the human resource management life cycle, as well as development of products and services, relationships with procurement and supply chain partners, and other stakeholders. This TS also highlights issues that need to be considered when interpreting the diversity and inclusion data, and for the purpose of internal and external human capital reporting, as applicable.
Purpose
This proposal builds on the work of ISO/TC260 WG2 metrics and ISO/TC260 WG8 diversity and inclusion. The cluster of metrics to be developed relate to the guidelines of ISO 30415:2021 – Human resource management – Diversity and inclusion, and reporting requirements of ISO 30414:2018 Human resource management – Guidelines for internal and external human capital reporting. It follows the format that WG2 adopted for technical specifications, including: the name of the metric; definition; formula; purpose and how to use the metric for intended users and contextual factors for interpretation.
