Scope

This part of EN 62552 specifies the essential characteristics of household and similar refrigerating appliances cooled by internal natural convection or forced air circulation, and establishes test methods for checking these characteristics.

This part of EN 62552 describes the methods for the determination of energy consumption characteristics and defines how these can be assembled to estimate energy consumption under different usage and climate conditions. This part of EN 62552 also defines the determination of volume.

Purpose

Changes to EN 62552-3:2020 are required to reflect the new standardization request Mxxx and to be in line with the IEC 62552-3:2015/AMD1:2020.

Some editorial changes to enhance coherence are to be integrated as well.

This document amends EN 62552-3:2020.

It includes the following significant technical changes with respect to:

- mobile refrigeration: determination for energy consumption in 16°C ambient temperature

- Adjustment of Annex ZA Test report template aligned with EU regulation

- Annexes ZZ related to (EU) 2019/2016 + 2021/340 and (EU) 2019/2019 + 2021/341 will be revised accordingly
