The purpose of this standard is to provide a test method including a test equipment which is composed of a test dummy and a test frame, actuation modules, force sensors, and a treadmill. In recent the robot technology advances very quickly, and its application is wide areas including medical field. Rehabilitation robot is one of good example, but it still needs to keep safety.
In 2019, a new standard for the safety of RACA robot, IEC 80601-2-78, was published. Several manufacturer have been trying to get approval from a regulatory, but it is not easy to get the goal, due to several reasons. One of the reason is the standard has insufficient test methods to be used for verifying safety of robot.
To overcome this problem, NWIP on the test of WALKING RACA Robot is proposed.
