Find out what cookies we use and how to disable themThis European Standard specifies methods for the classification and assessment of function blocks designed to operate burners and appliances burning gaseous or liquid fuels with particular regards to their fault behaviour and preventative measures.
This European Standard is applicable to new control function blocks, not covered by dedicated control standards.
Due to the fact that in June 2019 the revision of EN 13611 – aligned to the new Gas Appliance Regulation valid since April 2018 – was published, an alignment of EN 14459 to the revised EN 13611 is necessary. However, this revision does not include any other modification than those necessary for an alignment to EN 13611 and the new Gas Appliance Regulation. A harmonization concerning the GAR and PED is not requested.
