Scope

This international standard specifies basic dimensions, characteristics and engineering requirements for TORX® PARALOBE® recesses in aerospace fasteners.

Purpose

This drive system gives a higher drive system strength compared to other existing drive systems. The TORX® PARALOBE® drive system will be able to improve the head strength safety factor of 100° countersunk head fasteners and fasteners with other head shapes. The high drive system strength can be used to unify drive sizes. Different fastener diameters can utilize the same drive size.
