Scope

Develop a new EN ISO standard for pressure relief valves for refrigerating systems based on EN 13136 Pressure relief devices and their associated piping - Method for calculation

Purpose

There is currently no ISO standards for pressure relief devices and their associated piping.

There is however an EN 13136, which is harmonised with the relevant EU legislation.

There is also a sub-clause 5.2.7 in ISO 5149 covering pressure relief devices. It is however incomplete, and a complete standard would be much preferred to enable global alignment of technical requirements.
