PWI for WG10 District heating pipes – Flexible pipe systems with a lower temperature profile

Scope

This document is valid for operating temperatures of 70 °C for 49 years and 80 °C for 1 year. This document is also valid for a malfunction temperature of 95 °C for 100 h.

Purpose

In district heating, the future trend is towards lower operating temperatures due to the use of renewable energy sources. This allows flexible piping systems a lower temperature profile related with new and different opportunities (longer design life, new pipe materials e.g. PERT II).
