Standards Development
This document specifies a systematic process for digital twin model constructionand provides guidance for its implementation within adigital twin system, which encompasses not only model development but also considerations for data connectivity, synchronization, and lifecycle management. It further specifies the following four fundamental elements for establishing a consistent and interoperable digital twin model:
– information preparation requirements emphasizing data fidelity and traceability;
– basic types of digital twinmodels that support interoperability;
– digital-twin-specific principles of development addressing real-time synchronization and lifecycle validation;
– model verification and calibration to ensure consistency with the target entity.
This document is applicable to all categories of digital twins across various domains. It focuses on the conceptual design and implementation phases of the digital twin development process and is intended for use by organizations and projects involved in related research, applications, and services.
