This document specifies assessment methods for thermal propagation risk mitigation in case of a cell failure leading to an internal short circuit, including the collection of associated data. It also specifies a selection of different test methods for thermal propagation. The selected tests can be carried out at vehicle level or for RESS and RESS subsystem if appropriate.
This document does not provide comprehensive safety information for the manufacturing, maintenance and repair personnel.
NOTE 1 Requirements for motorcycles and mopeds are specified in ISO 13063 and ISO 18243.
