Scope

This document specifies quality control (QC) metrics and procedures for multi-omics profiles and data integration to achieve reproducibility in multi-omics studies. Multi-omics encompasses, but is not limited to, genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. The specified QC framework supports key study objectives including:

— Classification of biological samples

— Identification of differentially expressed omics features

This document applies to quality assessment of normalized multi-omics profiles containing qualitative or quantitative data values. The described QC metrics evaluate aggregated profile data, with the fundamental assumption that profile quality reflects laboratory proficiency or overall study reliability.

This document does not cover:

— Specification of experimental procedures for raw data acquisition

— Transformation of raw or intermediate data into normalized profiles

— Validation of in vitro diagnostic medical devices
