This document specifies the general requirements for unmanned aircraft docking systems, including the requirements for basic characteristics, functional capabilities, performance criteria, environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, safety, reliability, maintainability, and testability, as well as the guidelines for marking and packaging.
This document applies to the docking systems of civil small multi-copter unmanned aircraft with a maximum take-off mass (MTOM) of level II through level IV as defined in ISO 21895. Docking system supporting other types of unmanned aircraft may also refer to this document.
This document does not specify the requirements for vertiports, which are operated under the responsibility of vertiport operators as defined in ISO 5015-2.
