Scope

This international standard defines the communication requirements of sending event content between premises equipment and central station using Internet protocol (IP). The standard allows both the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) or Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) for communication.

This standard is intended for use by manufactures of control panels and central station receivers to ensure equipment compatibility, as well as all affected parties.
