Scope

This document specifies requirements and test methods to ensure absolute sealing of compressed gaseous hydrogen piping for gaseous hydrogen fuel cell–powered unmanned aircraft systems (HFC UAS). It applies to all piping—from the hydrogen storage cylinder through to the fuel cell—such that no hydrogen leakage occurs under normal operation, transient conditions, or fault scenarios. Compliance with these requirements enables HFC UAS operators and regulatory authorities to demonstrate and certify the absence of any hydrogen gas leaks, thereby ensuring flight safety.
