Scope

This document provides a guideline that aims to guide good design and practices for the urban reclaimed water that recharges into landscape water including urban stream flow (e.g., rivers and lakes), aesthetic impoundments and wetlands replenishment, namely ensuring the support of aquatic ecosystem, etc., but not for urban irrigation, such as the irrigation of elements of the natural environment, urban public areas, or residential areas. Thus, this guideline includes urban stream flow, wetlands, and leisure with possible incidental body contact.

This document is developed to be used by authorities, stakeholders, and/or practitioners who propose to implement principles and decisions in the urban area, to improve the safety, stability, and efficiency of reclaimed water.

This document provides:

— standard terms and definitions.

— requirements for reclaimed water for landscaping uses including those in terms of planning, design, management, and maintenance.
