Overview: Under the direction of FSH/12, is responsible for the development and maintenance of British Standards Codes of Practice for the design, installation, servicing and maintenance of voice alarm evacuation systems and emergency communication systems in buildings, i.e. BS 5839-8 and BS 5839-9 and to provide the UK input into the standards activities in CEN/TC72 and ISO/TC21/SC3 in the area of product standards and system standards relating to alarm devices and voice alarm evacuation sub-systems including working groups CEN/TC72/WG3 and ISO/TC21/SC3/WG15.
