Overview: Under the direction of GW/1, is responsible for producing British Standards relating to Intruder and Hold-up Alarm Systems (I&HAS) and External Perimeter Security systems (EPSS) including, detection and warning devices, control and indicating equipment, power supply, interconnections and environmental testing. Under the direction of GW/1, is responsible for producing British Standards relating to Intruder and Hold-up Alarm Systems (I&HAS) and External Perimeter Security systems (EPSS) including, detection and warning devices, control and indicating equipment, power supply, interconnections and environmental testing. GW/1/1 is responsible for UK input to European committee and international committees, including CLC/TC 79/WG 2; CLC/TC 79/WG 3; CLC/TC 79/WG 6; CLC/TC 79/WG 9, CLC/TC 79/WG 11 and CLC/TC 79/WG 16. GW/1/1 provides assistance and input to the GW/1 sub-committee structure and other relevant national, European and international committees, as well as other public interest and policy groups that may impact on the standards in this area.
