Overview: Responsible for the development and maintenance of standards in the field of baths, showers, basins, bidets, urinals, W.Cs and kitchen sinks, and associated materials. B/503 provides the UK input to CEN/TC 163 Sanitary appliances and its working groups. There is no corresponding ISO committee for this subject area. (Note. Taps and shower heads/hoses are the responsibility of B/504/8 and B/505 is now responsible for BS 6465 series of standards.)
