Scope

Scope: Revision of BS 8452:2010 including a change of title to “Selection, installation and operation of clamp-on (externally mounted) ultrasonic flow-metering techniques for fluid applications – Guide” Proposed changes from the 2010 edition are

1. Clauses 4 – 10 are very repetitive and we propose to update and reduce them down to just two clauses. Clause 4 would be ‘Uncertainty of Measurement’ and Clause 5 ‘Operation’. The first three clauses would remain as currently structured but would be updated with new information.

2. Annex A, B and C would be removed from the document.

3. The diagrams and charts in the document would be updated with new test data from NEL test work.
