Standards Development
Under SPSC, is responsible for the development and maintenance of standards relating to fire safety of construction sites.
There is currently no dedicated British Standard addressing fire safety governance throughout the construction lifecycle. Existing guidance is fragmented across legislation, fire safety standards, competence standards and industry guidance. A governance standard would establish a common framework for leadership, accountability, competence, information management, assurance and continuous improvement.
