This standard specifies requirements and guidelines for the calculation of the carbon footprint (CFP) which are specific for lifts not covered in ISO 14067 and acts as a complementary standard to ISO 14067
Many countries have launched initiatives for decarbonization, e.g. EU Green Deal, China dual carbon policy, for more details see attached position paper N184 Annex B.
With ISO 14067 general principles, requirements and guidelines for quantification are specified. With this standard specific to lifts as a CFP-PCR a globally harmonized approach, alignment with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) related Product Category Rules (PCRs) and comparability should be achieved.
