Scope

To issue an International Standard covering additional requirements for Low Power Current Transformers, both electronic or not, used for AC applications having rated frequencies from 15 Hz to 400 Hz and system voltage above 1 kV.

Purpose

This project is intended to supersede IEC 60044-8 and is part of the migration process toward the new IEC 61869-xxx set of standards.
