The scope of this document is to define a concept that enables standardized, cross-organizational data exchange in Smart Manufacturing.
The concept includes a business perspective, which specifies the considered business roles and their interactions in the context of cross-organizational data exchange, and a technical perspective, which specifies the considered technical and human roles and their interactions in the context of cross- organizational data exchange.
This standard will provide new general and basic concepts for cross-organizational data exchange by including concepts for organizational interactions, security aspects like authentication and authentication, interoperability, etc. The new concepts addressing manufacturing industries but are open for the usage across multiple sectors or domains.
