Scope

This part of IEC 62053 applies only to static watt-hour meters of accuracy classes 0,5 and 1 for the measurement of DC electrical energy in DC systems, and it applies to their type tests only.

Purpose

A european version of IEC 62053-41 was prepared in 2021 and proposed for citation under EMCD but citation was refused so EN IEC 62053-41:2024 was published with no european modifications except Annex ZA. Some of the issues listed by HAS consultants were actually within EN IEC 62052-11:2021 and EN IEC 62052-11:2021/A11:2022. A new project EN IEC 62052- 11:2021/prAC is in progress (pr = 79939) and is supposed to solve those issues. The purpose of this proposal is now to refer to this EN IEC 62052-11:2021/prAC and allow future EN IEC 62053-41:2024/prAA to be cited under EMCD.
