Scope

This part of the ISO 16976 series provides information on factors related to children’s anthropometry, physiology, ergonomics, and performance for the preparation of standards for performance requirements, testing, and use of respiratory protective devices.

Purpose

This document is intended to define, in connection with the other parts of the ISO 16976 human factors standards series, human factors for children which deviate from adults’ human factors. The intention of this document is to provide standards writers with background information on human factors of children; it is not intended to define or describe devices.
