This document specifies the terms and definitions, basic process, and detailed requirements for parameter optimization design in component optimization of mechanical products.
This document is applicable to technical training, software development, and engineering applications related to component optimization design of mechanical products, and provides guidance for the preparation and implementation of the aforementioned processes.
This document is intended to provide general guidance for the preparation and practice of mechanical product design optimization, with a specific focus on parametric optimization, covering technical training, software development, and engineering application of parametric optimization techniques, as well as for reference in production, manufacturing, and technical decisionmaking.
As mechanical product design optimization, especially parametric optimization, has gradually developed and become widely applied, the lack of toplevel guidance and a general workflow— resulting from the absence of relevant standards—has led to various problems in industry. Although parametric optimization techniques have achieved significant practical results, the supplementary role of standardization would bring clear benefits, including easier communication and cooperation between institutes and greatly improved work efficiency. Since such standards have already been successfully applied in many industrial sectors, the foundation for standardization in the field of parametric optimization is well established.
