This document provides components and modes for directional digital twin information interaction. this document specifies:
- general requirements of each digital twin information interaction mode.
- performance requirements of digital twin information interaction including: basic requirements, extensibility requirements and security and privacy requirements.
This document is applicable for the digital twin development process for related research, applications, and services.
Digital Twins are intensively used in many industry sectors and standardisation domains: smart energy, smart manufacturing, smart cities, active assisted living, buildings, transportation, aviation, construction, automotive, healthcare, etc. Some of these sectors and domains have developed their initial understanding of digital twins and those initial standardisation efforts show the great potentials of digital twins for various type of entities of the real world. It is understood that a systemic use of dig ital twins can provide manifold improvement in performance of some equipment, reduce the construction cost, and improve the interoperability. The goal of this standard is to provides components and processes for digital twin information interaction with the use of the IEC Systems Approach.
